How DailyTeller Uses AI
Last updated: October 14, 2026
DailyTeller stories are made with artificial intelligence (AI). We want you to know exactly what that means before your kid reads their first one. DailyTeller is run by Naolito SL (ESB67720276), Avda. Sor Teresa Prat 15, 29003 Málaga, Spain.
What is made with AI
| What | Made by | What the AI gets from us |
|---|---|---|
| Your kid's character (the 3 concepts and the one you choose) | Image models from OpenAI | Your description of how they look, their age and pronoun, and the art style. If you upload a photo, the photo too, only to match the likeness |
| The story text (plan and pages) | Language models from Anthropic (Claude) | Your kid's first name, age, town, interests, the people and pets you listed, the goal you picked and your special requests. Never their surname, your email or your address |
| The illustrations and covers | Image models from OpenAI | The scene for each page and your kid's character as a reference picture |
| The narration ("Read to me") | A text-to-speech model | The text of each page. The voice is synthetic: it is not a real person reading |
| Animated stories (coming later) | A video model | An illustration and a short description of the movement. We will update this notice before launching them |
Every story, picture and voice in the app is AI-generated, except our mascot Tali and the illustrations on our home page, which we made for the site.
How we check what the AI makes
Kids deserve care, so no story goes out unchecked:
- Before: everything you write (interests, descriptions, special requests) is checked by an automated moderation step before it reaches a story. If something isn't right for a bedtime story, we ask you to change it.
- During: we give the AI clear rules for each age: words, length, themes, and what never appears in a kid's story.
- After: every story is checked automatically for safety, age-appropriateness and whether your kid looks like themselves. Anything that gets flagged is reviewed by a person on our team before it reaches your kid. If it can't be fixed, we make a new one.
AI can still make mistakes: a strange detail in a picture, a character who looks a little different, or a sentence that doesn't fit. If something looks wrong, please tell us at dailyteller@naolito.com and we'll fix or replace the story.
How we label it
- We say it on our home page, in this notice, and on the last page of every story in the reader.
- The pictures and sound files we store keep the technical labels (metadata) our AI providers add to say they were made by AI, and we don't remove them.
What the AI providers can do with your data
- They work for us, under data processing agreements, only to make your kid's stories.
- They don't use your data to train their models.
- They may keep it for a short time to prevent abuse (OpenAI and Anthropic: up to 30 days), unless we have zero data retention with them. Our Privacy Policy has the details, including where the data goes.
- We don't build a face recognition template from your kid's photo, and we ask the AI for an illustration, never a photo. The photo itself is deleted from our systems within 24 hours.
What the AI doesn't do
- It doesn't decide anything about you or your kid beyond what goes into the stories.
- Your kid never chats with an AI in DailyTeller: they read and listen.
- We never use your kid's stories, character or photo in our ads without asking you first, separately.
