Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (like your browser's local storage) that DailyTeller uses, and how you can control them. DailyTeller is run by Naolito SL (ESB67720276), Avda. Sor Teresa Prat 15, 29003 Málaga, Spain. For anything about privacy, write to dailyteller@naolito.com.
The short version
- We only use what the site needs to work, unless you say yes to more.
- Marketing cookies are off until you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time.
- We never use cookies or trackers in the story reader, in your kid's screens, or on any page with your kid's details. Those pages only use what is strictly necessary to keep you signed in.
What we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These make the site work. Under EU and Spanish law they don't need consent, but we still tell you about them.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
dt_session | DailyTeller | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random code; we only store a scrambled (hashed) copy of it | 30 days, or until you sign out |
dailyteller:v1 (local storage) | DailyTeller | Remembers your sign-up answers so you can finish later, which kid you were looking at, and whether you have seen the welcome message | Until you finish signing up or clear your browser data |
| Consent choice (Cloudflare Zaraz) | DailyTeller, through Cloudflare | Remembers which optional cookies you accepted or rejected | Up to 12 months; then we ask again |
Security cookies (for example __cf_bm) | Cloudflare | Tell people apart from bots and protect the site from attacks | Up to 30 minutes |
Marketing (only if you accept)
We use these to understand which of our ads bring new families, so we can spend less on ads that don't work. They are only used on our public pages for grown-ups (like the home page and pricing), and never with information about your kid.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta (through Cloudflare Zaraz) | Recognizes your browser so Meta can tell us if you signed up after seeing one of our ads | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta (through Cloudflare Zaraz) | Remembers the ad you clicked to reach us | 90 days |
If you accept marketing cookies and later create an account, we also send Meta a few events about your account, such as "started a free trial" or "subscribed", with your email address in a scrambled (hashed) form. We never send your kid's name, age, photo, or anything else about them. Meta and DailyTeller are joint controllers for collecting and sending this data; Meta's own use is explained in Meta's Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We don't use analytics cookies today. If we add them, they will be off until you accept them, and we will list them here first.
Campaign links (no cookie)
If you reach us through a link with campaign tags (like utm_source), we keep the name of the campaign with your account for up to 90 days, to know which campaigns work. This doesn't use a cookie and doesn't track you on other sites.
How to change your choice
- When we ask for consent, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject each category, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can open it again at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our pages.
- Your browser lets you delete or block cookies. If you block the strictly necessary ones, you won't be able to sign in.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a "no" to marketing cookies.
Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and, when the change needs your consent, ask you again.
